The U15s recorded a 32 run victory over Richmond. After winning the toss and electing to bat first the boys got off to a steadt start through Sam Hunt and Tom Youngman. An opening stand of 77 ended when Tom [38] was caught at mid off in the 12th over. a large score looked a possibility but Richmond bowling rallied to pull back the scoring rate. After Sam departed for 46 and Ben Geddes for 27 the innings ended at 134 for the loss of 7 wickets.
In reply, Richmond started aggressively with 32 runs coming off the first 4 overs. A change of bowing saw Riley Jarrold [2 for 9 off 4 overs] claim the wicket of Sami Shori for 25. Despite opener Thomas Knight also making 34 the wickets fell at regular intervals and no-one was able to make a telling contribution with the bat as 6 different bowlers all claimed at least one wicket. The target proved out of reach for Richmond as Ashtead ran out winners by 32 runs.
