ACC U13 narrowly miss out in second Round of the County Cup against East Molesey

ACC U13 put on a brave fight against East Molesey in the second round of the Surrey County Cup. Ashtead batted first and reached a solid 95 for 9 off our 20 overs on a wicket that was difficult to score runs on. Everyone contributed with the bat with only Dan Geddes (20) and Ned Hussey (15) able to make double figures. Our bowlers and fielders put pressure on East Molesey who at one stage were pinned back to 63 for 6 after 13 overs. In a tense and exciting finale the opposition passed our target in the 19th over. The team spirit was very high and the boys gave one another incredible support. The bowlers performed well with fast bowler Ned Hussey finishing with 2 wicket maidens and figures of 2 wickets for 3 runs and man of the match Ambar Vishnoi picking up 3 big wickets for 15 runs with an impressive spell of spin bowling. A proud performance and narrow defeat against a strong East Molesey team.
