Nail biting victory against Epsom CC ...

They don't come any closer than this. 4 needed off 8 balls, then a wicket dropped so 8 needed off 7 balls. One run needed to win off the last ball and they boys did it! Congratulations to the whole team on a hard fought win. It really was exciting stuff!

The match was held at Parson's Mead and the teams had to endure a few light showers in the last few overs. But it was certainly worth it. The boys batted and fielded well. The bowling was generally very good although we are still giving away far too many extras as wides. I'm delighted that there wasn't a no-ball in sight.

Special mentions for Jack Goodman (captain) and Morgan Dixon for their stunning partnership as the last pair and absolutely outstanding running between the wickets to clinch the victory. Jack hit two 4's and Felix Pate hit two 4's as well and had the same run tally as Jack and Morgan. Well done also to Alex Gillespie who hit a 4 and Luke Horner-Long - both of him had the next highest run tally. Congrats also to the wicket takers: Joel Harris (1), Luke Horner-Long (1), Felix Pate (1) and Jack Goodman (2).
