Epsom U9A v Ashtead U9A

A reality check for us early in the season. We lost to a side that looked like they had played more cricket than us…one batsman in partucular collecting a third of the Epsom run total.They bowled a few less wides and lost only 2 wickets versus our 9. However the boys all fielded very well and there were some good individual performances: Dom Bunyard in the field, Joe Haig, Oliver Timpson, Leo Martin and Jed Brockes did well with the bat and Tom Perkins and Joe Haigh bowled a couple of tight overs. A good catch by Jacob at mid-wicket and a notable direct hit from WK Luc Hutter.
