After losing the toss, Ashtead got off to a great start as P Sidwell and H Storey put on 78 for the first wicket. both fell in the same over and the runs continued to flow as partnerships continued between H Williams and R Wint, then Williams and Reed (50*) and finally Reed and J Nichols. The score reached 202 when the skipper declared 4 down.

Wickets fell very early for Streatham and Marlborough as Whitely picked up 2 wickets in his first over, then P Williams picked up another 3 and R Nichols claimed 4-32. B Sidwell secured the win in the 26th over clean bowling the S&M no10 with the total on 91.
