The season finishes with a 'rapid' win

The win on the closing day of the season over Old Whit's was Ashtead's 11th and kept them third in the league which we believe is comfortably their highest in the top flight of Surrey 3rd XI cricket.

This win was achieved inside 2hrs and 8 mins of the start as we bowled out 8 man Old Whits for 57 in the 19th over with 2 wickets for Josh Watson and 3 for Alex Culhane. We knocked them off in the 9th over finishing 59-1, the only wicket falling being Daniel Geddes, with Oli Hunt finishing 31* as David Sims smashed the winning boundary.

A great season overall, especially pleasing to have beaten the two teams above us twice each in the season, and for a couple of other results going our way we would have easily finished 2nd.
