The next wicket took the oppo to 116-4 when W.Culhane (1-50) took his only wicket stumped. The seamers of Burgess (2-30) and Rose replaced the spinners and closed the innings with 4 wickets before Oxted & Limpsfield declared on 224-9 in 55 overs.
After a bit of DIY tea Ashtead started sprightly as the openers Rice-Burnett (46) and T.Culhane (90) put on 74 before the first wicket fell, Dunn (16) fell next with the score on 99. The next partnership, 102, between Culhane and Wint (53*) was decisive.
