Dear Members...
The Club hugely appreciates all of those who volunteer for us. Without the time and effort that so many people in the Club give, we would not be able to operate.
We currently have two important volunteering opportunities at the Club and we are looking for two people to join our team of volunteers. This can be just for the 2026 season if you are unable to commit beyond. It would be wonderful if we could have these two roles filled by the AGM on Sunday 25 January.
We appreciate everyone involved in a voluntary role at the Club is busy, but if you could spare a few hours a week to ensure the Club can continue in the safe hands of our volunteers, we would be most grateful for your support. The Club is always at its best when we have the support of volunteers across all areas from managers and admin to Committee Members and their roles. All the details are below and you will have full support from our our outgoing Treasurer, Rob Owen.
Please do read through the details below and feel free to ring me for an informal chat if you would like to discuss any aspect of the role. There is a role description available for each position which gives more detail and I would be happy to email that to you if you are interested.
You may be wanting to gain more experience to aid your career, or you may be very experienced but have some time to spare to assist our Club which is diverse, expanding and progressive. Both roles have the potential to provide the following benefits for you.
BOOKKEEPER
We are seeking a dependable and detail-orientated volunteer bookkeeper to work alongside the Treasurer. Our current treasurer, Rob Owen has streamlined the processes to minimise the time and effort involved. The role is ideal for someone with basic bookkeeping or finance experience who would like to contribute their skills in a flexible way. The role is invaluable to the Club in keeping our finances on track.

TREASURER
We are seeking a Treasurer to provide a strategic overview of the Club’s finances to assist the Management Committee in its decision making. Our current Treasurer, Rob Owen will be stepping down at the forthcoming AGM in January but will be providing support and advice to his successor over the subsequent months.
This role does not require formal financial qualifications and is ideally suited to someone who has familiarity with commercial and business matters and can explain financial matters clearly to others. The Management Committee consists of 8 people and meets on a quarterly basis in the pavilion at Woodfield Lane. Committee Members can join remotely if more convenient.
