As many Club members will know, Bob Willis was regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time. He is a former England Cricket Captain, International Cricket Council Hall of Fame member and much loved Sky Sports broadcaster. He remains England’s fourth-highest wicket-taker and is best remembered for his heroic figures of 8-43 in the Ashes Test at Headingley in 1981.
As a Club, we are honoured and proud that his grandchildren, Jack and Bobby, are members of our Junior Section.
The Bob Willis Fund was established in memory of Bob, who sadly died from prostate cancer in 2019, by his family. Since then, the charity has raised over £2 million to fund pioneering research and awareness initiatives aimed at improving the diagnosis of prostate cancer which is now the most common cancer affecting men in the UK.
On Tuesday 14 July, The Bob Willis Fund will host their final ever Blue For Bob Day at Edgbaston during England's ODI against India.
Although the match is sold out, supporters can still be part of the occasion by purchasing a Virtual Seat. If you can, please support
For just £10.00, you can dedicate a virtual seat to someone special - a father, grandfather, friend, teammate or loved one, while helping to fund vital research and support the fight against prostate cancer.

Every virtual seat purchased will help create a sea of blue across the stadium digitally and support the fund's lasting legacy.

Thank you to everyone at Ashtead Cricket Club for your support.
