Ashtead travelled to Cheam for a bottom of the table clash and came out comfortable winners.
After winning the toss on a hot day, Rose and Elburn bowled tightly with several LBW shouts being turned down, Elburn broke the deadlock and had a leg side catch taken by keeper Parkinson.
Turning to the spin of Caprano-Wint, Williams and Culhane the tables turned. as Caprano-Wint had the opener caught at gully by Williams and then 2 sharp catches at slip by Wint. The most interesting being his 5th wicket with Rose being put out deep square only for the very next ball the batter to chip it straight down his throat. Before this recommendation Culhane had taken 3 wickets in his first over.
The innings closed as Parkinson took his second catch, and Caprano-Wint finished with 6-29 off 14.4 overs and Culhane finished with 3-2 in 4 overs.
The win was achieved inside 17 overs, even with the wickets of Pountney and Gale, Parkinson 22* and Martin 42* steered the Stage home for their first win of the season.
