Ashtead suffered another loss chasing Dulwich's 164 falling 48 runs short.
Ashtead won the toss on a damp wicket and quickly had Dulwich in trouble at 21-4 with 3 wickets for Alex Culff and one for Ben Sidwell in a great opening burst.
Their 5th, 6th and 7th wicket partnership dragged them back to a good score as Ashtead then lost a little penetration. Tea was taken early as rain fell and Ashtead soon polished off the rest of the Dulwich batting as Marcus Caprano-Wint picked up the final wicket well caught by Ben Sidwell in the 47th over for 164. The pick of the bowling being Culff 3-28 and Caprano-Wint 3-11.
With 52 overs to get their total a steady batting display was needed but once again we lacked depth in batting with 9 of the wickets being caught. Highlights of the batting saw Jake Martin top score on 31 and a great 45 run partnership between Jake and Will Bishop, but even after some gallant batting from the last wicket pair Ashtead's continued poor run with the bat continued and Will Culhane was bowled to wrap up the innings.
Next week we travel to Cheam and really have to get some points from this game.
