Battingfirst, Dulwich reached a comfortable 213-5 in 50.5. They started really quickly scoring at more than 5 an over, but the inclusion of Donelan and Caprano-Wint into the attack slowed the rate considerably, both picking up 2 wickets a piece. Sam Castle bowled very tidily in the early part of the game and the Dulwich gained momentum in the last 5/6 overs to reach their target with some string hitting nd quick running.
In reply, Ashtead started very slowly and lost wickets on regular occasions to the very tight Dulwich opening bowling. It was only at the 7th wicket where debutant Henry Weston and Tim Leanord showed resistance, Henry finally fell for a well constructed 71 and Tim was unbeaten on 22 off 29 overs.
Ashtead never really looked like securing13 points but valiantly held on for a point.
