3s suffer huge defeat by Wimbledon

With a depleted side, the 3s lost badly to a strong Wimbledon side. Batting first Wimbledon got off to a flyer, declared in the 36th over with the score on 264-4 at more than 7 an over. Only the leg spin of R Nichols (3-59) and C Caprano-Wint (1-55) had any joy with wickets.

In reply the Stags succumoned easily and finished on 66 all out with the Wimbledon opening bowler claiming 6-17. It was again the last wicket partnership of R Nichols (17*) and C Caprano-Wint (9) that offered any resistance with a 20+ run partnership.

The Stags need to improve massively as they entertain Spencer next week.
